Up for sale we have this 1967 Chevrolet Impala SS 427. There were
only 2,147 SS427 models built in '67 so you can imagine how rare it
is to find one that's a convertible as well. This car has had a
meticulous frame off restoration done. In the paragraphs to follow
we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and
heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a
little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee.
We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no
consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You
can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a
big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So,
that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us
for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at
(865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Impala. Easily one of
the best restored SS 427's we've ever seen this car has a laser
straight body with excellent body lines. You'll notice that it has
phenomenal Gaps and Fit of all the panels. This car is covered in
the Marina Blue, which was its' factory color. It's now done in
base coat clear coat and has been buffed and polished to a deep
rich shine with a mirror finish. The top on this Chevy has been
replaced and is done in white, it is also Power. All the chrome and
stainless is in amazing condition with very little imperfections.
The Glass is all gorgeous as well and appears to have had the front
windshield seal replaced along with the weather stripping in the
doors and trunk. To finish off the looks it's sitting on a set of
15" Rallyes with Firestone Red Line Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this SS 427. On the inside
it's done in the Blue interior which is also the factory color
combination. It has the bucket seats and console which houses the
correct style Four Speed Shifter. The seat covers on this Impala
have been replaced and all the padding is excellent. The door
panels, carpet, and seal plates have also been replaced. Now as you
look at the dash you will see the pad appears to have been replaced
and that all the gauges look great. The Speedometer and Tach are
working along with the fuel, oil, temp, and amp gauges. When you
look in the trunk you will see the Spare, Jack, Trunk Mat, and set
of floor mats.
Finally, we will look at the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the
hood it features a fresh built 454 that's set up with the 3883958
Intake and Quadrajet Carburetor. It's dressed in the chrome valve
covers and the stock style breather with the 427 Badging. The 454
engine is mated to the era correct 3885010 Muncie Four Speed and DM
Code 12 Bolt Posi with 3.73 Gears. For exhaust it has manifolds
with Dual Pipes and the chambered mufflers. This SS 427 is set up
with Four Wheel Power Drum Brakes and Power Steering. Under the
front it has had new ball joints, end link bushings, and sway bar
bushings installed. Looking under it you will see it has been taken
off the frame and that it appears to have the original floors that
look rock solid. One of the awesome options of the SS427 is the F41
Heavy Duty Suspension that made these cars awesome on the road.
