In fact, the red line is limited more by the engine ancillaries than the engine itself. V12 power truly puts the grand in grand touring and a Grand Tourer is what best describes the XJS. This 1986 model has the HE (high efficiency) version of the V12 that between fuel injection and a redesigned combustion chamber, delivers more power and better fuel mileage than the original carburetor car. Our example here is in nice overall condition. It starts, runs, and stops as it should. The interior is clean and without major faults and showing only the patina of careful use over time.
