Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer a beautiful
little 1979 MG B. MG produced Bs from 1962 all the way until 1980.
There were subtle changes throughout the years, but the basic
layout remained the same: a 4-cylinder engine up front, manual
transmission in the middle, and power delivered to the rear wheels.
These lightweight cars are popular with driving enthusiasts and
even make great racecars. This particular example is finished in a
snappy shade of bright orange which looks just as right on the car
today as it did in '79. The interior is very clean and features
nice black vinyl upholstery and a simple dashboard with driver
focused controls. Equipment is sparse, but you do get a stereo and
full instrumentation. The convertible top and windows are operated
the old-fashioned way which is all part of the fun of a car like
this. Pop the hood and you'll find a simple and reliable 4-cylinder
engine. The engine compartment of this car is quite presentable and
retains a fairly factory appearance. The shifter falls to hand
perfectly and the car rows through the gears wonderfully. Whether
you plan on blasting the backroads, hopping on the track for a
vintage racing experience, or simple cruising around town, the MG B
is a wonderful car to handle the task. What a wonderful way to
enter the classic car hobby or to add a vintage find to any
collection! You can see this lovely 1979 MG B in greater detail in
