face-lift with a more conventional full-width grille, pleasing
those customers who didn't favor the Ferrari-inspired '55 front
end. Distinctive two-tone bodyside treatments and graceful front
and rear wheel openings completed the "speedline" restyling. Single
housings incorporated the taillight, stoplight, and backup light,
and the left one held the gas filler - an idea popularized on
Cadillacs. This 1956 Chevrolet Belair is powered by the numbers
matching 265 CID Engine with just 2,000 since the rebuild hooked to
the 2speed Power Glide Transmission which is also original to this
car. The two tone Black and White Paint look great and the chrome
is free of pitting or rust and shines in the sun. The Black and
White Interior is in great shape and looks like you're on the way
to the sock hop. There is a long list of new parts on this Bel Air
including: Classic Air Conditioning, power steering unit, radiator,
power brakes, new original style hub cap wheels with wide white
walls, all new hoses, electric windshield wipers, headlight trim
rings, bumpers, dual exhaust, floor mats, center console, and
