Camino. The 1984 El Camino was built on GM's G-body platform from
1978 to 1987. The 1984 El Camino is a rear wheel drive two door
that offered a 305 CID V8 as its top engine for that year.
Transferring that V8's power to the rear wheel was a 3-speed
automatic transmission. For 1984 a total of 22,997 El Camino's left
factory. This 1984 El Camino SS Tribute has a few modifications and
upgrades that would enable it to run circles around the stock 1984
El Camino described above. Let's start with the engine, This V8
started out as a 350 CID bored .040, to that is added; Scat 3.375
inch stroke crankshaft, Scat forged 6 inch I beam connecting rods,
Keith Black Silvolite pistons 10.0 compression, Competition Cams CX
280 XFI HR-13 camshaft .576 intake lift .571 exhaust lift,
Competition Cams 1.6 full roller rockers, Racing Head Service
street ported 180 cc Pro Action cylinder heads with 2.02 inch
intake valves and 1.6 exhaust valves, Edelbrock RPM airgap intake
manifold, Demon Street Demon 625 cfm carburetor, MSD distributor,
MSD 6 AL Digital multi spark, and Weiand valve covers. All this
power is sent to a 700R4 4 speed automatic. That power is sent to a
Custom 9 inch with Strange axels, 3.50 ring & pinion, Tracloc
limited slip, Disc brakes, PMT boxed lower control arms and
adjustable upper control arms. The body features a Harwood 4 inch
cowl hood, fiberglass roll pan with ZR1 style taillights, Leather
bucket seats, Power windows, Power door locks, Power steering,
Power brakes, Tilt steering, Factory Tachometer, Hurst ratchet
shifter, Shift light. Supporting this Monster of Mayhem El Camino
are four Foose legend wheels, 17 x 7 front with 225R17 BF Goodrich
g-Force Sport comp 2 tires and 17 x 8 rear with 245R17 B F Goodrich
g-Force Sport comp-2 tires. This El Camino is in excellent
condition inside and out presenting a gorgeous white exterior with
black racing stripes, complimented by a rich black and brown
