The 1940 Buick special was the entry level that Buick was putting
out that year. Its slick and bubble design was typical for the 40s.
It was also known as the 40 series, but the number had been removed
in 36. This example is a great running and driving car that has all
the hard stuff done. The paint on the car could use some work. The
drivetrain is where the money was spent on this rod. The modern 5.3
votec engines fuel injection has been changed to a carb. The engine
still has the great performance with some of the best throttle
response I have seen in a carb car. Hooked up to one of the best
transmissions in the business. The TCi built 700r4 works great. The
700r4 is already a great transmission but with it being built by
TCI it makes a great transmission even better. Just hit the key and
this Buick comes to life without hesitation and sounds good with
the full length custom dual exhaust. The interior of the car has
gone back to a more original classic feel but is very comfortable
all the same. The wheels you notice are from a grand national and
do look custom on this street rod. Options on this 1940 Buick
special include, AC, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Alloy Wheels and
Radial Tires. This 1940Buick Special for sale can be seen at our
