Powered by a 350 CID V8 with Chevy's desirable "double hump" heads (usually having 2.02" intake and 1.60" exhaust), and backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission that's controlled by a vintage style Lokar shifter, this '39 Plymouth for sale goes like it never did when it was young! The 350 has plenty of chrome and polished bits, including a polished Summit Racing 4BBL carb on top of its polished Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, chrome valve covers, chrome-plated exhaust manifolds (exiting into dual exhaust system), chrome alternator, chromed A/C compressor, chrome air cleaner housing, and chrome master cylinder cover, this is one good looking engine bay. Spark for the 350 is provided by a GM HEI ignition, and cooling is enhanced by the thermostatically controlled electric fan (which also reduces the parasitic power loss from an belt-driven fan). Inside, a wood-rimmed aluminum steering wheel continues the vintage look of the woodgrain dash and window trim. Practically unused tan synthetic leather seating surfaces abound, with a split-bench front seat that aids getting in and out of the rear bench seat. The carpet is in excellent condition, and the tan synthetic leather also covers the door panels and is used for the headliner. A JVC head unit has AM/FM/XM/CD capabilities and is Bluetooth-enabled. The vintage look dash is equipped with modern gauges, including 3 AutoMeter gauges to monitor coolant temp, volts, and oil pressure.
