The 1940 Ford is arguably one of the most desirable Fords ever built. The body had modern styling that was launched in 1937 and resembled a baby Lincoln lineage. They were available with the Flathead V-8 engine and ran great with super durability.

We have a Gorgeous 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe here at Adventure Classics that has had a frame off restoration including an incredibly clean underside that looks fantastic.

Engine & Drivetrain

This steel-body 1940 Ford Deluxe 5-window coupe is equipped with a, completely rebuilt and restored to as new condition, 221 cubic inch Flathead V-8 engine, Ford downdraft carburetor and column-mounted 3-speed manual transmission, the first year for a column shift.

This car has been beautifully restored by a professional builder and the engine has what looks like all the stock original factory components such as the air cleaner, valve covers, and intake and sits in a very clean, painted, and detailed engine compartment with the underneath and chassis also re-done and modified as well.

This V8 has good power, as well as a terrific ride with a smooth-shifting transmission and is ready to be your favorite cruiser because it handles and runs great. All the mechanical features work and she is a very solid vehicle.

Interior

The restored to factory stock interior or our 40 Ford has a brand new custom tan Mohair-style interior cloth split bench seat, matching rear seat and door panels, dash clock, fold down visors, factory AM radio, dash that is painted Maroon to match car with all original and correct factory gauges, cloth head liner, all original controls and is very nice looking.

This is a quality interior and everything has been done to make this one of the best interiors we have ever seen on a street rod.

Exterior

Presented in classic and period-popular maroon with that tan mohair-style interior, this all steel car is in great shape and looks fantastic with its nice deep color. It has dual outside mirrors, front and rear chrome bumpers with bumper guards, and rides on traditional wide whitewall tires and steel wheels dressed with proper trim rings and hubcaps.

The body side trim and hood trim are new, the glass tinted looks great as does the running board and rubber, window felt, emblems, and everything else that must be seen to appreciate on this restored car.
