Sensational 1951 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday Hardtop
The next amazing classic up for grabs in our Fairfield showroom is this spectacular, very original 1951 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday 2 Door Hardtop with nicely repainted mint green exterior paint, excellent chrome and a two-tone green and tan cloth interior. You'll find the factory original 303 cid Rocket V-8 engine under the hood along with the correct "Hydra-Matic" automatic transmission, and this true survivor comes loaded from the factory with the original AM tube radio, a heater/defroster, a driver's side spotlight, drum brakes, white wall tires with dog dish hubcaps on chrome globe wheels and so much more. It even has locking/unlocking doors accessible with a key, which was considered state of the art at the time.
This outstanding example has a mere 64,827 original lifetime miles showing on the odometer and it is in fantastic unmolested condition.

The current owner informs us that this 1951 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday is a true survivor that's been enjoyed by two other owners throughout its life. It was originally sold in Colorado and since then appears to have had excellent care and maintenance. There were a total of 13,279 examples produced of this highly desirable model and very few of them have remained completely in-tact all these years later. This example truly feels like a once in a lifetime find since it's in the high end driver category as a true survivor.
As mentioned earlier, this outstanding survivor is believed to be virtually 100% original, except for a excellent repaint, and in completely unmolested condition, including the above average interior and the gleaming factory chrome trim. There are some minor blemishes to be found , the cloth front seat is showing wear and the engine bay could use some light refreshing, but otherwise this true survivor is perfect for most collectors just the way she sits today.
Additionally, this 1951 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday starts up nicely and everything works properly, The Rocket V-8 engine in particular sounds great and the transmission shifts as smoothly as it did when it left the factory in 1951. There are some occasional squeaks and rattles since this classic has been on the road for 66+ years, but overall the handling is solid for such a prestigious survivor.
