Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1973 Dodge Challenger
for sale in our Indianapolis showroom. This particular Challenger
is being listed for sale by the ORIGINAL owner who has taken care
of the car extremely well and has also added some modifications to
the looks and performance of the vehicle. Introduced for the 1969
model year, the Challenger was produced to compete with other
upper-level pony cars such as the Mercury Cougar which had grown
exponentially in popularity through the latter half of the 1960s.
In the last ten years this Challenger has been completely restored,
but still maintains the numbers matching engine and transmission.
The factory Rally Red paint that was sprayed during the restoration
also had the black and silver stripe added to the side accentuates
the body lines. The original 340 cubic inch V8 has been upgraded
with many different items including two four barrel 450 CFM
carburetors, Edelbrock Tunnel Ram intake manifold with a polished
street scoop, polished headers and much more. Other options for
this vehicle include an AM/FM radio, CD player, spare tire, power
brakes, jack, seat belts, vinyl interior, radial tires, alloy
