COPO Camaro began in 1969 when a group of car enthusiasts working
at Chevrolet discovered that they could use the Central Office
Production Order (COPO for short) to order Camaros with specific
options that would bump horsepower. With this hacking of the
ordering system, these enthusiasts were able to craft and drag
ready Camaro from the factory. In 2012 the COPO Camaro was
reintroduced for the fifth generation of Camaros and only 69 were
produced. This particular COPO is equipped with the 327 Cubic Inch
V8 with the 4.0L Whipple Supercharger. In order to assure the
fastest passes possible, a Powerglide transmission was installed by
the factory to help propel this rocket down the track. Other parts
that distinguish this vehicle from a typical Camaro are the
chromoly roll cage, racing fuel cell, racing harnesses, a kill
switch, racing wheels, drag radials, racing seats, and Posi
