1966 CHEVELLE SUPER SPORT CONVERTIBLE ''RESTO-MOD''

WE ARE FULLY RESTORING THIS CHEVELLE!!


We acquired this real 1966 Chevelle ''138'' Super Sport convertible from a longtime friend who has been building this car for the past 20 years.
He had good intentions up until now but found himself in failing health so he decided to sell us his project.
As it goes, he totally disassembled the car and took it off the frame''. The body was placed on a rotisserie and soda blasted clean including the frame.
The 1/4's, doors inner & outer front fenders, rear body panel, deck lid were replaced with ''Goodmark' replacement panels.
Then the frame was smoothed and painted Tuxedo Black in base/clear. It was then re-assembled using new stainless-steel fuel tank and lines and stainless-steel brake lines too. Further assembly included tubular upper & lower control arms,QA-1 adjustable coil over shocks, 4-wheel Willwood disc brakes with 6 piston calipers with big crossed drilled and vented rotors and all new steering too.
The body was then matched back to the frame and all panels were professionally installed and fitted to perfection. Painted in ''PPG'' Tuxedo Black'' in base/clear.
Powered by a GM PERFORMANCE PARTS 502c.i. - 502h.p. crate engine and matted to a Tremac 5 speed transmission and 12 bolt posi rear with 4:10 gears.
This is how we got the car !! It did come with everything needed to completely finish off & re-assemble like a complete red bucket seat interior and all new chrome,trim & weather stripping too.
However,we decided to really take this car COMPLETELY OVER THE TOP by adding:
