For sale in our Chicago showroom is this slick 1966 Ford Mustang
restomod. Powering this clean 'Stang is a fuel injected 302 cubic
inch V8 and AOD automatic overdrive transmission from a '90
Mustang. Although the body and interior are virtually original,
including about 80% of the paint, all the underside has been
upgraded for a much higher performance experience with a more
"patina" look. The front and rear have been lowered several inches
for a more aggressive stance, and it makes this pony look mean.
Although this was originally a 6-cylinder car, it has much more
"oomph" to get it moving after the upgrades. The 8" rear axle
houses a set of 3.55 gears to motivate this Mustang with ease.
Under the front clip a Heidts Automotive Mustang II style front end
was fitted with adjustable height coilovers making for massive
improvements in handling and road feel. The rack and pinion
steering greatly increases steering feel and makes this classic
feel much more modern. Bringing the Ford to a safe stop are powered
disc brakes on all 4 corners tucked behind 17" Torq-thrust alloy
wheels. This '66 Mustang is the perfect mesh of classic lines,
vintage feel, and modern technology for a weekend warrior or a
daily driver. Options include: AM Radio, Power Brakes, Power
Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Alloy Wheels, and a Limited
Slip Rear Axle. For more information on this sharp 1966 Ford
