Ladies and Gentlemen, Gateway Classic Cars of Kansas City is
honored to present a 'Picasso' of an automobile, a car that almost
levitates when one enters the room - due to due to Air Ride
suspension - a 'killer' 1963 Chevrolet Bel Air - Custom, Resto Mod,
Pro Touring dream machine! Built by perhaps the 'Chip Foose' of the
Midwest, Roger Burman, owner of Lakeside Rods and Rides, this Bel
Air can draw a crowd - wherever crowds are allowed these days! What
started out as a fine 1963 Chevy Bel Air still retains the look of
a beloved classic. The project started with a full frame off
restoration beginning with stripping, then powder coating the
entire frame. The exterior was also treated to a wonderful coating
featuring a nearly perfect covering of PPG Black top, trunk and
hood with Green-Silver awesomeness coating each side. Spectacular
hand-pinstriping and one lone Chevrolet emblem hover above the
green-silver on each side. Under this more than beautiful, shaved
door handles and straight as an arrow GM body, lies Shock Waves
tubular Control Arms, Fatman Dropped Spindles, front and rear disc
brakes, posi-trac differential featuring 3.55:1 gear ratio, Budnik
Wheels tucked under the fenders, 18x7 front, 20x10 rear, plus,
narrowed fenders and 1966 functional hood vents to tie it all
together. The interior is just as striking as the exterior
featuring olive green, Euro-hide leather with a custom hand-made
console featuring a Locar Shifter that selects what damage you
would like to dish out to the asphalt. Other great features of the
interior include, a Sony Sound system with Kicker Speakers,
Air-tique controls featuring AC and Heat and power windows. And,
although this unbelievable machine looks great sitting still, it
actually does move with great ease by power supplied by a 350, Ram
Jet GM crate motor featuring an Arizona Speed and Marine Dropped
Top Superjet FFI Fuel Injection. Kind of like a cherry on a sundae!
Oh, and not to forget, March Pulley System, Flowmaster Exhaust and
Block-Hugger Headers. It's not only a lot to take in visually, it's
a lot to try to explain! If you would like this dream machine in
your future, call your classic car friends at Gateway Classic Cars
of Kansas City. Our number is (913) 815-1340. You can reach us
Monday thru Saturday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. cst. Gateway Classic Cars of
Kansas City, 1202 South lone Elm Road, Olathe, KS 66061.
