Iconic 1941 Willys coupe is anything but bashful. Painted a bright
Orange that is called "look at me orange" well, that is what I
would have called it. Featuring realistic flames worked into the
paint this is one hot car. Now I do not normally spend a lot of
time on paint jobs in the write ups that I do, but this one
deserves a chapter or two. I know you have seen the photos but
trust me, they do not do this car justice. Now, under the hood,
wow, just WOW. The engine outshines the paint. A 468 Cubic inch big
block that has a huge BDS� blower with two quick fuel� double
pumper 4 barrels sitting on top. With this set up I am sure it gets
about 4 or 5 gallons to the mile but who's counting? Now I have
receipts from Ed Wasserbeck's speed shop with just about every part
and the machining of the other parts, for the sake of room lets
just say Manley � Eagle�, Cloyes� Comp cam� just to drop a few
names. This engine is right! Backing this beast is a Chevrolet
turbo 400 3 speed that is controlled with an air-controlled push
button shifter. None other than a Ford 9" would do in a built like
this and you might expect a set of 4.88:1 gears but you would be
wrong as this car has a very streetable set of 2.73 gears. This car
was built to take top honors at the most prestigious shows and in
fact came very close to the coveted Ridler, top 16 in fact! Look,
not one corner cut, not one trick missed. This is one serious car.
